eric lawson & jessica yerance lead streaks to 7-0 wins
The annual trip to Slocum's is never easy, but the Warren Hills bowling teams did enough to win, and a few had outstanding days under tough conditions.
Senior Jessica Yerance shot 179-187-214=580 to lead the NJ#2 ranked Blue Streak girls to a 7-0 win with a 2514 total. Freshman Kelcie Mannon led the team in game 2 with a 212, and Junior Katie Winch shot a consistent 506. The Streaks were missing a starter due to illness, but fought hard to achieve a respectable result in the house that yielded last year's low series.
The boys had tough conditions to deal with also, of course, but Junior Eric Lawson was outstanding, shooting 245-182-246=673. Senior Darryl Price (203) and Junior Avante Wilson (207) each broke the 200 barrier, helping the boys to a 7-0 win and a 2700 total, winning the match by over 600 pins.
Some of our bowlers will be in action on Saturday at the North Jersey Singles Classic at Parkway Lanes, and the teams will be back Thursday for a home match at Oakwood Lanes (finally!) against Hunterdon Central.
